2006-2007 Hunter Education Schedule

There are sessions held each Spring and Fall

Preregistration is required

All 6 sessions must be attended to be certified (No Exceptions)

Program Content
It is mandatory to bring a .22 rifle for sessions 1, 2, and 5.
Classes run from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM.

Session 1- Registration Confirmation- Dennis Freid, Mike Boettcher
                     Introduction to program, Basic gun handling, and Home safety-  
                     Jim Severson, Tom Lee Jr. and Tom Lee SR

Session 2- General information on ammunition, ethics, gun cleaning, fence                          safety, habitat, and history of hunting- Charles Seng, Karl                                       Fisher, Brice Marsh, Kent Marsh, Gregg Webert, and                                                Mike Boettcher.

Session 3- Woodsmanship, Ethics, Hunter Attitude, Basic Archery, and                                 Tree Stand Safety- Dennis Freid, Jim Onarheim, and David Zielke.

Session 4- Meet at trap range for demonstration of dogs used in hunting.
                     Fundamentals of shotgun shooting, Tips on safe use of a                                       shotgun.  Black Powder demonstration. (the class will be held                             outside so dress accordingly)- Mike Keil, Karl Fisher, Shawn
                     Mcinnis, Rick Hanson, Dave Zielke, Scott Anderegg.

Session 5- RANGE CLASSES - PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE TEST
                    
Session 6- Final Examination & Graduation, First aid- Jim Onarheim, Game                           Warden Mark Brann, Jim Severson.
